Little Learners’ Programs
2024-2025 Schoolyear

Join us for Parent & Me Preschool, Parent & Me Playgroup, or Art & Science Explorers!

Our NEW Classes will be opening soon - Join the wait list for our Transitional Explorers Program (ages 3-5), or The Art of Reading and Illustration (ages 5-8). See below for more information about these classes!

Parent & Me Preschool

Children must be 18 months through 3 years old at the time of enrollment.

Our evening Parent & Me Preschool is available for mixed ages - This class is open to ages 18 months -3 years with a parent as well as to ages 3-5 years, either with a parent, or as a drop-off class.

This is a fun filled, comprehensive program that will give your little one a great head start before and during the preschool years. Children can participate in a structured and developmentally appropriate program to meet social, cognitive, academic, large and fine motor, and problem-solving skills.

Each session will include built-in play time, circle time with bubbles, stories, songs, interactive games, and sensory activities, an art project, snack time, and a large motor activity or fun obstacle course before singing our goodbye song.

Parents and caregivers will love to watch their little ones interact and play with new friends and can enjoy interacting with other adults as well!

Siblings 12 months and younger attend Parent & Me Preschool for free, but must be registered with the office so that we know how many people total are in the class. Once they are 12 months old, they join the class at 50% off the regular monthly membership, and at 18 months, they join as full members.

Parent & Me Playgroup

Join Ms. Jenni and friends for play, story time, bubbles, games, music, and sensory activities. Parents and children ages 9-24 months are invited to join to socialize and learn in a safe and warm classroom environment.

Art & Science Explorers

For fall enrollment: Children need to independently use the bathroom and be 3-5 years old by September 1st.  (For later enrollment, students must meet these criteria by their start date.)

This drop off class will incorporate age-appropriate science, nature, and art lessons mixed with independent play.  Students will learn to explore topics in a small group and one-on-one instruction.

Class will include experiments, crafts, games, large and fine motor activities, sensory exploration, collaborative projects, and snack time!

Please send a drink and snack with your child each class.

Transitional Explorers Class

The transitional Explorers Program is tailored to help students ages 3-5 that are not quite ready for the large class sizes, extended class times, or schedule expectations of a traditional preschool. Children entering the class should have IEPS or be in the evaluation process.

The program will include socialization and modeling of effective communication, music and art sensory experiences, and large and fine motor activities appropriate to each learner.

Therapists working with students are welcome and encouraged to push in during the class time to assist during authentic situations.

Parents are welcome to stay in the classroom or drop off.

The Art of Reading & Illustration

Students ages 5-8 will explore age appropriate children's authors and their works dissecting content and meaning while working on reading skills for the individual student.

The children will research the techniques of story illustrators and mimic their technique through art lessons in class. Children will have daily writing mini lessons and journal time, as well as long and short term writing projects based on their developmental stages.

Works will be collected and turned into a student anthology of work at the end of the year.

Movement breaks, games, and snacks will be included.

I am excited to share my love of reading and writing with motivated learners.

Ms. Jenni’s Mommy & Me is the best way to start any child’s educational path. Both of my children looked forward to the class week after week due to the fun and comfortable learning environment. Ms. Jenni is one of the best educators out there and forms bonds with her students that will last a lifetime!

Miss Jenni’s classes are always developmentally appropriate and fun. She is a very flexible and understanding educator and her love of children shines through in everything she does.

We first met Mrs. Shelgren when looking for a mommy and me class. My wife was able to participate in the class and the group of moms quickly became friends under the guidance of Mrs. Shelgren. I cannot stress the importance of this as we had recently moved and my wife transitioned from a full-time professional position into a full-time care giver for our children. Throughout all this, Mrs. Shelgren was not only our child’s teacher, but someone my wife could explain situations or ask developmental questions of as well.
